Your tree in Africa
With your help a reforestation project in Africa will be supported. Within the context of this project on a total area of 2110 hectar a well- directed planting with erosion hindering plants, trees and bushes is being planned until 2012. To prevent erosion on the slopes of the hilly countryside in Congo and in order to preserve agricultural areas in the surroundings, 14 domestic tree species and a few thousand fruit trees are being planted.
The reforestation measurements will take place in three formerly very seriously deforestated and therefore prone to erosion areas. Reforestation measurements will take place in 94 villages. In that way living conditions of the local population will be improved. It will be secured that rainforest is integrated back into the mountainous region of the Congo.
